My parents plan to pay for my graduation trip...where should I go?

The thing is....I don't have a passport. If I did, I'd love to go to France or Denmark, but I'm not the best French speaker nor can I speak Danish. I'll have to pick some place in the USA to go to. I want it to be a fun, somewhat cultural (even if I'm still in the same country) trip. I thought about New York, but it seems like it'll be too expensive to go stay there for a week. Chicago would be fun, but my parents go there all the time. My mom told my aunt I'll be going to Disney World and as much as I want to go there, I'm kind of indecisive if I really want to go there. I even thought about opting out of that trip just for a laptop, but I can get one after I find a job. I want this trip to be special and I'm not sure where I want to go.......Any ideas on interesting, safe, and accepting/open-minded locations in the USA??
