Should American Iiberals change their stance on business?

Thats the one thing I do not get with American Iiberals, they wish for more government programs and welfare and yet they attack business. Business funds those programs through taxes so one should be more business and growth friendly if thats what they are wanting. Denmark is a good example of being business and growth friendly while having a lot of programs.
