North America's equivalent to Scandinavian trolls?

Our trolls aren't mythical like Scandinavia's. North American trolls like the indoors because they are physically inadequate to humans. How they manage to spawn in their mothers' basements is a mystery as is where they find their partners. Their favorite activity is posting to the boards on the internet.
