How expensive would this be?

My boyfriend is flying into California from Denmark August 3rd. He bought his ticket less than a week ago. Something is coming up for me where it would be much, much more beneficial if he came earlier than August 3rd, more so in July. How expensive would it be for him to change his ticket since it was purchased not too long ago and has not been used yet?
